These were the words of Pope Benedict XVI to America on his visit last year. The TRUTH of this message resounds in the depths of our soul.
During the course of our pilgrim journey here we experience brokenness; in family relationships, within ourselves, among friends, in marriages, vanishing hopes and dreams, etc. much resulting from our sinfulness and turning in on self - which is to turn away from the life-giving Lord and each other. Death itself separates us from those whom we love. But Jesus Christ, the only Savior restores our hope in the Resurrection. "Behold I make all things new!" We place ourselves in the Lord through TRUST and SURRENDER in all things.
Every relationship, every disappointment, every illness, every wound to the human heart - even the separation caused by death will be healed and restored in full - perfectly in God - in Heaven. In the Resurrected Lord Jesus Christ our lives transcend the grave into LIFE ETERNAL. This is our hope. Christ our Hope!

St. Michael, the Archangel, defend us in battle!
Be our protection against the wickedness and
snares of the Devil,
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray
And do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Hosts
-by the power of God,
Cast into Hell, Satan and all the evil spirits who
prowl throughout the world
seeking the ruin of souls.
Amen.
